Winter 2023 picnic basket contents:

A selection of wines, beers, soft drinks, and hot beverages can be purchased at The Cellar Door on the day, when baskets are collected.

Your basket will include our freshly baked gratinated brioche buns, herbed focaccia & Cape seed loaf to be enjoyed with a selection of locally sourced charcuterie and hard and soft cheeses like Dalewood Camembert and Brie, Klein River Stanford, and De Pekelaar Boerenkaas.

This will be accompanied by our Chef Thys’ pickled aubergine atchar, spiced apple chutney, mushroom pâté, Long Fuse chili relish & creamy savoury whipped butter.

You will also receive delicious orange, lemon & coriander marinated pulled chicken flaky pastry tartlets topped with beetroot, a curried vegetable quiche, as well as a winter tabbouleh salad with garlic and herb pesto, roasted butternut, Greek feta & mixed exotic nuts.

Finish your meal on a sweet note with the Chef’s patisserie of the day.

Book them their own basket for R159 per meal.
Their basket will include a petit beef sausage roll, a mini margarita pizza, a packet of crisps, and a juice box. Then satisfy their sweet tooth with a giant cookie! They can enjoy their own basket, whilst running on the lawns and playing with their bubbles, which are included as a gift in the basket.
